PTA

Our PTA provides an opportunity for parents to get more involved in their child's school. Meetings help to keep parents well informed and provide a forum for feedback to the school on school activities and initiatives. Our PTA helps to fundraise for certain school projects and initiatives. You are warmly welcomed to come along to the meetings and get involved.
It is a great way to meet other parents and to show your support.

Recently the PTA sold pea straw to help raise funds to put $7,000 worth of digital technology into all 11 classrooms.

 Tinwald School P.T.A.
The PTA was formed in 1993 to provide an organisation through which parents and families can contribute to the life of the school.

One aim of the team are to foster co-operation and provide communication between the home, the school and the community, to provide a link with the Board of Trustees, to provide a resource of people to help with school activities and to raise funds for the school.  It is essential that we maintain a high level of fundraising to ensure the best resources (eg computers, library materials) for our children's development; your involvement is encouraged as membership of the PTA Team is open to all families and staff.

Boost Children’s Wellbeing  PTAs focus on what students need to be successful in their learning, including nutrition, health, school safety, physical fitness and general well being.  PTA works with schools to ensure that children succeed.

Enjoy Informed Parents Involved parents understand the challenges schools face  and become part of the solution.  By developing a closer relationship with parents, student achievement improves, and the school develops a positive reputation in the community.

The PTA frequently produces a newsletter keeping the entire school community informed of current events, issues, and accomplishments.  Regular meetings allow PTAs to share information with members.

The committee meets monthly during the school year and welcomes new members.  Meetings are open to all - come along!
