Well we had a wet start to the day today and unfortunately had to cancel the Forest Survivor programme. We still went ahead with Adrenalin Forest and everyone had an awesome time. There were so many who achieved better than they thought they could and all came away proud of their efforts. We finished the day with a great camp fire, toasting marshmallows and eating them between chocolate biscuits - yum!
Arrowsmith are all tucked up in bed after their first day at Blue Skies Camp. We managed to avoid the rain and got through most things on our programme. Some highlights from today have been swimming, flying fox, nachos, chocolate mousse and BINGO. Check out some photos below...
Tinwald School invites you along to our art exhibition and hangi on Monday 21st September. Please see the notice for more information. We need RSVPs back by Monday 14th September so we can organise food numbers etc.
Congratulations to the 18 children from across the school who spoke at our school speech competition tonight. The speeches were wonderful and you all spoke clearly and with lots of enthusiasm. You should all be proud of your efforts. The judges were very impressed.
We have just started to use an app called PT calendar. This is mainly a calendar showing school events but has other features such as texting daily absences and other school information for parents. It is a free download for phones or tablets. Once downloaded just search for Tinwald School and you should get our information.

Taylor and Arrowsmith children joined together on Friday for our annual Cantamaths Maths Week competition. Cantamaths is a problem solving challenge in house teams. It is a race to answer the 15 questions correctly the quickest. This year, we had a tie for first place between a Yellow and Blue house team. Both of these teams answered all 15 questions correctly. These children have won a $5 lunch voucher to spend on either Sims or Subway - congratulations!
Last Friday, our whole school met to share our learning with each other from Connected Learning in Term 2. The whole school had been exploring our native plants and animals identity. There were lots of different ways to show learning on display from music to art to craft to dioramas to writing to raps. Check out some photos from the sharing:
We would like your feedback to help us review and strengthen our curriculum. Please complete this short questionnaire and return to your child's teacher. This also went home last week in the newsletter on a blue A4 page. Thank you.
